Red Kites seen from the south-west
Alan Mann, the present occupant (2012), writes:
"
Red Kites, originally named Middle Way House, was re-named
in 2001, when the current owners took possession. It is situated
at the end of Innings Road, up a rough bridle path. Beyond a 2
metre high wooden fence and electric five bar gate, one sees at
first sight an ugly example of post war construction. The house
appears to be a 1950s box with hard to believe even worse 1960s
and 1980s extensions, marginally improved by 2007 oak cladding.
"However the house and land sit at the end of the Little Frieth
village facing south, south west and the unencumbered valley
views, as in Innings Road generally, are to die for."
